ERYSIPELAS. 95 cases of erysipelas were notified during the year : 28 Poplar, 43 Bromley, and 24 Bow. 47 patients were isolated as follows:—

Four deaths occurred—1 Poplar, 2 Bromley, and 1 Bow.

SCARLET FEVER. The number of Scarlet Fever cases notified for the three sub-districts and the deaths which occurred for the past five years were as follows:—

532 cases in Poplar (Sub-District) were removed to the Metropolitan
Asylums Board's Hospitals, 486 in Bromley and 302 in Bow. One
Bromley patient was treated in the London Fever Hospital and one
in the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. So that 1,322 patients out of
1,423 notified cases in the Borough were isolated.
