Overcrowding.
Fourteen cases of overcrowding were abated. No cases of overcrowding
were found in workshops.
General.
6,311 communications were received, and 2,188 complaints (including
69 smoke) as to nuisances were made. 5,018 communications
were despatched.
It is with deep regret I have to record the death, early in 1920,
of Mr. C. Foad, sanitary inspector for the Poplar South Division.
Mr. Foad was an unwearying, most painstaking and highly conscientious
officer, a very popular colleague, and his death was
greatly deplored by the members of the Public Health Department.
