ERYSIPELAS.

84 cases of erysipelas were notified during the year : 26 Poplar 32 Bromley, and 26 Bow. 31 patients were isolated as follows:—

Nine deaths occurred—1 Poplar, 5 Bromley, and 3 Bow.

SCARLET FEVER. The number of Scarlet Fever cases notified for the three sub-districts and the deaths which occurred for the past five years were as follows:—

455 cases in Poplar (Sub-District) were removed to the Metropolitan
Asylums Board's Hospitals, 578 in Bromley and 291 in Bow. One
Bromley patient was treated in the London Fever Hospital (Poplar
Hospital staff). So that 1,325 patients out of 1,400 notified cases in
the Borough were isolated.
