Of the 791 patients notified in Poplar, 728 were removed to hospitals
and institutions ; of the 920 in Bromley 858 were isolated, and of the 540
in Bow 501 were removed, so that of a total of 2,251 notifiable diseases
in the Borough 2,087 patients (exclusive of ophthalmia neonatorum) had
been removed from their homes.*
