Spittoons and Bars of Licensed Premises.
The attention of the Public Health and Housing Committee was called
to the sanitary condition of the bars in licensed premises. It was stated
fewer spittoons are provided and the floors become covered with spittle ;
it was suggested that the public floors should be required to be cleansed
each morning with disinfectant and that spittoons containing disinfectants
should be required to be provided.
The Committee recommended that the attention of the Licensing
Justices be called to the matter.
