The male births in the Borough exceeded those of the female by 254,
and the male deaths exceeded those of the female by 167, which makes a
gain of 87 males.
At the end of the years 1898,1899, and 1900 there was a gain of
females for the Sub-Districts of Poplar and Bromley. In the Borough
for the years 1901-1909 there was also a gain of females, but for the year
1910 the males gained over the females.
