The Surveyor stated the present structure would not allow of
extensive alterations, but as it was absolutely necessary, for the
well-being of the community at large, the Borough should have a
proper shelter, the Committee directed the Works Committee be
asked to place the workshops at their disposal during the outbreak.
The Works Committee agreed to the necessary temporary accommodation
being afforded at Bromley Depot to meet the necessities
of the outbreak.
In the near future a permanent new shelter with disinfecting
station will be erected on the land acquired by the Council in
Glaucus Street. See "Mortuaries" page 91.

VACCINATION. Mr. Hitchens, the Vaccination Officer, has kindly furnished me with the following statistics, which are copied from those forwarded to the Local Government Board: — 1902.—January to June.
