Sir,—
I beg to submit to you my fifteenth Annual Report of the
sanitary works, executed for the abatement of nuisances, which had
existed in the Central Division of the Parish of Bromley, under
the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Poplar, for the year
ended 31st December, 1904.
I have inspected 1,462 premises, 839 in response to complaints
of nuisances, 363 on account of infectious diseases notified, and
260 house-to-house inspections have been made. Of the 1,462
premises so dealt with, 894 were found to be in fair sanitary condition,
whilst in the remainder 568 premises nuisances were found
to exist, which necessitated the following works of sanitary repairs
(see tabulated list, page 162). In the supervision of same 3,720
re-inspections were made.
