The Public Analyst reported that during the year he had analysed
377 samples, 375 of which came from Sanitary Inspectors, and 2
from an official of the Butter Association. The latter mentioned
samples were of butter and proved to be genuine.
Of the 377 samples, 25 or 6.6 per cent, were found to be adulterated.
This percentage compares with 8.2 for the previous year,
showing a still further decline of adulteration.
