Vendor fined £10.
Milk ... Adulterated with 13 per cent, of water (previous
viction). Vendor fined £18 and £,2 2s. costs.
By your direction special inspections were made of the bakehouses
and schools in my district, which necessitated the service of several
notices with the result that various sanitary improvements were
executed. The results of these inspections were reported in detail
to the Sanitary Committee.
Four notices of intention to apply lor renewal of slaughterhouse
and cowhouse licenses were received from my district.
The premises were forthwith inspected, but in no case was it
necessary to serve a notice.
The shops, food stores, and stalls have been regularly inspected
with a view of detecting diseased and unwholesome food, but in no
instance was any article of food exposed for sale at the time of my
visits in such a condition as to justify seizure.
