The 90 cases in Poplar were notified from 78 premises, and the
100 cases in Bromley from 78 premises also; in the first instance ro
house drains were found defective, and in the second 9, the smoke
test being used.
Fifty-six cases in Poplar and 67 in Bromley were removed to
various hospitals as follows :—
