Poliomyelitis Vaccination
During the year sufficient vaccine had been received by the
London County Council Divisional Medical Officer to immunise
over 400 Paddington children against Poliomyelitis.
Next year, when larger supplies of vaccine become available,
very many more children in Paddington will be rendered immune
to this dread disease.
The Public Health Inspectors are four below establishment.
This necessarily has had its consequential repercussion on the work
of the Department.
In conclusion, I express my gratitude for the help and cooperation
I have received from the Public Health Committee, the
Chief Officers of the Council, and especially to all the staff of the
Public Health Department.
Staff
I have the honour to be
Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
Medical Officer of Health.
