In November, 1931, a class for the manufacture of hand-made gloves by tuberculous
women was opened at the Dispensary under the auspices of the Central Fund for the
Industrial Welfare of Tuberculous Persons. This class, which is held every Wednesday
afternoon, has proved highly successful. It is attended chiefly by patients from Paddington,
but patients from Kensington and St. Marylebone are also received. There is a regular
weekly attendance of 12 patients.
It is now possible to report that some progress has been made in the problem of finding
new premises for the Dispensary. During the year a piece of land has been bought by a
friend of the Dispensary, on which to build new premises. Active steps are being taken to
collect money for the erection of the proposed new buildings.
