Paddington Tuberculosis Dispensary, 20, Talbot Road.
This is a voluntary agency supported by voluntary subscriptions and a grant from the
Paddington Borough Council usually amounting to £1,288. During 1927, however, a supplemental
grant of £300 was made by the Council. A full account of the Dispensary and its
activities will be found in the annual reports for 1924 and 1925.
Artificial sunlight treatment of patients was carried on during the year, but such treatment
is not recognised as part of the approved scheme by the Ministry of Health and the London
County Council.
During 1928, 40 patients received treatment, 782 exposures being given. All that can
be said so far of this treatment is that the results are encouraging.
