Women were employed in 962 workshops, including 203 where men and women were employed.
The total number of women therein was 5,160, including 617 "young persons."
Women were employed at 199 outworkers' premises, including 32 where men and women were employed.
The total number of women employed therein was 445, including 67 "young persons."
From other sources 8 complaints were received, as compared with 4 in 1906 and 7 in
1905.
Overcrowding.—Nine (9) cases of overcrowding were reported by the Inspectors and 4
by the Home Office during the year. In 1907, 4 cases were discovered by the Department
and two reported by the Home Office.
