There were 13 deaths during the year, as compared with 50 in 1905. The. deaths
comprised 7 of males and 6 of females (Table 19), and were equal to a fatality of 7*0 per cent,
of the known cases. That rate is certainly too high, but shows an improvement on the rates
of the previous three years. (See below.)
