DEATHS.
As to the figures in Table 16, the local rate from "All Causes" (13.14) was the lowest
of all, the rate for "100 Smaller Towns" (14.6) being next lowest. The other rates will be
referred to under their respective headings.

to be corrected for the variations in the proportions of males and females at the different
ages. The necessary factors for the Metropolitan Boroughs have been published by the
Medical Officer of Health of the County, and corresponding factors have been calculated for
