There are no slaughterhouses in the Borough and no licences were
issued to slaughtermen.

UNSOUND FOOD
Approximately 85 tons of food were surrendered as unfit for human
consumption and dealt with by the Council's food inspectors. This
included meat, fruit-pulp, fish, vegetables, etc.
Some of the spoiling was caused by refrigerator breakdowns.
