Analysis of Milk
During the year under review 62 samples of milk were submitted to the public
analyst by the Council's inspectors of which five were deficient in milk solids. Legal
proceedings were instituted against the dairy concerned regarding one of the
adulterated samples. Two of the other samples were of sour milk due to faulty
sealing of the cartons. In these cases suitable warnings and advice were given to the
dairy involved. With regard to the remaining adulterated sample no further action
was taken.
