HEALTH CENTRES
A new purpose.built centre in Oxestalls Road, S.E.8, named the Lind Health
Centre, opened in March. Ante-natal, child health, health education, cervical cytology
and school treatment sessions are held and there is also a chiropody clinic. The
introduction of family planning sessions was under consideration at the end of the
year.
In December work commenced on the building of the Council's first comprehensive
health centre at Stanstead Road, S.E.23, which, it is hoped, will open early in 1971.
