SECTION "E" — INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD
Milk and Dairies Regulations, 1949
At the end of the year there were 127 persons registered for the
distribution of milk from premises within the borough and 21 persons
registered for the distribution of milk within the borough from premises
in the area of another authority.
Thirty-eight premises in the borough were registered as dairies.

Analysis of milk
During the year under review, 80 samples of milk were submitted
for examination to the Public Analyst by the Council's inspectors. None
of these samples was certified as adulterated or below standard. The
average composition of the samples is set out in the following table:—
