WAR-TIME DAY NURSERIES
The Council's Honor Oak Estate Day Nursery which had been
housed since 1942 in the L.C.C. school premises was vacated on
30th November, 1945, and as far as possible children were
transferred to another Nursery. This course was necessary as
the premises were required by the L.C.C. for use as a Nursery
School, as formerly, in consequence of the evacuated schools
returned to London.

The remaining four Nurseries in the Borough continued to function and the following Table shows the average daily attendances each month during 1945.

CONVALESCENCE FOR CHILDREN UNDER FIVE
Invalid Children's Aid Association
The arrangements with the Invalid Children's Aid Association
for the provision of convalescent treatment for children under
five was continued throughout the year and 25 children benefited
from such treatment during the year.
