Dental Treatment.—During the year, 14 patients attended St.
John's Hospital for dental treatment and 5 patients were assisted in
obtaining dentures.
Extra Diet.—The Borough Council granted an allowance of
milk, butter and eggs to 12 tuberculous patients to enable them to
maintain their working capacity after return from Sanatorium. Those
in receipt of Public Assistance are recommended for extra diet to the
Public Assistance Committee.
Shelters.—The Borough Council possesses 6 shelters to loan to
tuberculous patients having inadequate sleeping accommodation.
Care Committee.—The Care Committee meets at the Dispensary
on alternate Thursday afternoons throughout the year to discuss
methods of helping tuberculous patients and their families through
difficult times. Money is raised by various voluntary means to
defray the expenses incurred thereby.
Handicrafts Class.—The Borough Council makes a grant of £10
a year to this class, which is now in its 12th year under the same
London County Council instructress. The pupils are keenly
interested in their work and the class is a great asset in affording
occupational therapy.
Tables A—E give in statistical form a summary of the work
