Facilities were granted to one of the Health Visitors to attend
a refresher course during the year, and £5 was paid by the Council
towards her expenses.

Infant Life Protection.
The number of foster-mothers on the Register at the end of
the year was 133, and the children in their care numbered 231.
The officer charged with supervising the welfare of these infants
made 2,170 visits to their homes during the year.
National Health Campaign.
The Council decided to participate in the National Health
Campaign, promoted by the Central Council for Health Education,
in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, to promote the wider
use of the Health Services.
