"Grade A" (Tuberculin Tested) Milk—Standard:—Not more
than 200,000 bacteria per c.c., and no Coliform Bacillus 1/100 c.c.).
Seven samples of this grade were examined and one of these
failed to comply with the standard. Six of the samples were taken
at the request of the Ministry of Health.
"Pasteurised" Milk.—Standard:—(Not more than 100,000
bacteria per c.c.).
Of the fifteen samples of this grade which were examined,
twelve were taken on delivery at the various Institutions of the
London County Council situated in this Borough, the remaining
three being taken from local retailers.
In only one of these samples was the bacterial count greater
than that permitted, and the attention of the local authority responsible
for the licensing of the pasteurising establishment was called
to the matter.
