General Provision of Public Health Services in the Borough.
Hospitals Provided or Subsidized by the Local Authority or by
the County Council.
(1) Tuberculosis.—The London County Council is responsible
for the provision of Institutional treatment of tuberculosis
in London.
(2) Maternity.—The Council's Maternity Home is situated at
41, Rushey Green, Catford. It was opened in 1918, with
12 beds, increased to 17 in April, 1924.
(3) Children.—The Council does not provide Institutional
treatment for ailing children.
