presented to the Council. .
A copy of the pamphlet which is left at the home,
and which sets out the chief points of care required to be
exercised by the patient, is printed in this Report. This,
or a similar pamphlet, has been distributed since 1906.
It will be admitted, I think, that we are doing all
we can with the machinery at our disposal, but I am
strongly of opinion that this is not sufficient, and that
little benefit will result unless a complete scheme is formed,
available for the whole Borough, for the detection, treatment
and prevention of the disease in all its varying
manifestations.
