The following samples were submitted to the Public Health Laboratory for
examination
Ice cream 22
The 22 samples of ice cream were found to be satisfactory.
Samples of milk were submitted to the Public Health Laboratory for examination
under the Milk (Special Designation) Regulations as follows
Methylene Blue Test 252
(24 were void, the atmospheric shade temperature being over 65°F).
Phosphatase Test 248
10 samples of milk which failed the Methylene Blue Test were of milk
pasteurised in the Borough.
Details of the action taken by the Council under the Food and Drugs Act 1955, and the Food Hygiene Regulations made thereunder are as follows:-
