Diphtheria immunisation is the responsibility of the London County Council,
but may also be carried out by general practitioners and I am indebted to Dr.
W.H.S. Wallace, Divisional Medical Office, of Division 8 for supplying me with
the above figures.
international certificates of vaccination
International Certificates of vaccination for persons travelling to certain
countries abroad are required in respect of Smallpox, Yellow Fever and Cholera.
Vaccination against any disease other than yellow fever can be done by a
Person's own doctor, or exceptionally (by arrangement) at a hospital. So long
as vaccination is done under the National Health Service, whether by a person's
own doctor or at a hospital, no charge may be made for it, but in either case the
coctor may charge for issuing an International Certificate.
