2. Inspection of Food
(i) At the Slaughterhouse.
No animals were slaughtered here during the year. Two pigs
were slaughtered privately elsewhere in the presence of the food
inspector.
(ii) At shops, stores and factories:
Large quantities of food of all varieties were inspected and
as a result the following weight of food was surrendered as unfit
for human consumption and unsound food certificates were issued
38 tons 18 cwts. 0 qrs. 19¾ lbs.
87 complaints about food were received. 62 of these were
justified and a list of them is set out below.
