water, but exclusive of tidal water and foreshore), divided into
4 Registration Sub-Districts, 3 Parliamentary Divisions, and
12 Wards. The Parliamentary Divisions and Registration
Sub-Districts have been adjusted so that they and the Wards
are co-terminus.
Population—estimated, 1950—231,000 (229,400).
Density—56.6 (56.2) persons per statute acre (inclusive of land
and inland water, but exclusive of tidal water and foreshore.)
