Offensive Trades.
There are three offensive trades registered, e.g., fat melting
(15, Upper Marsh), soap boiling (15, Upper Marsh) and tripe boiling
(103, Lambeth Walk). The premises at 15, Upper Marsh (soap boiling
and fat melting) were enlarged during 1925 with the approval of the
London County Council under section 19 of the Public Health
(London) Act, 1891. Fat melting at Albert Mews (rear of 188, Clapham
Road) lapsed through disuse in 1924.
