N.H.—In addition to the above, 1,852 visits were paid to houses,
but no one was found to be at home.
The above returns are to be read in conjunction with the footnotes
on the previous page, showing 213 visits to Infants and 204
revisits, (193 in connection with children 1 to 5 years) by the Female
Sanitary Inspectors, who also paid in addition, 92 visits to children
between 1 and 5 years, viz.: rheumatism 16, enlarged tonsils and
adenoids 76.
The 2 female Sanitary Inspectors (Miss Dawson and Miss Simpson)
reverted to their former appointments as whole-time Sanitary Inspectors
.on January 1st, 1924.

Factories.
10 new factories were added to the Register, dealing with (it)
Blouses, 1; (b) Beer Bottling, 1; (c) Book-binding, 1; (d) Clothing,
1; (e) Dress-making, 1; (f) Dried Fruits, 1; (g) Fruit Preserving, 1;
(h) Laundry, 1; (i) Mineral Waters, 1; and (j) Photography, 1.
Workshops.
107 new workshops (including 12 Domestic workshops) were
added to the Register, dealing with:—Bakery, 10; Blouses, 2:
Carnival Goods, 1; Chemicals, 1; Children's Clothing, 2: Coachpainting,
1; Coat Hangers, 1; Coil Winding, 1; Concrete Composition,
1 Dress-making, 20 ; Dyeing, Cleaning and Pressing, 4;
