The improvement noted in last year's Annual Report when 21 fatalities due to
motor vehicles were recorded, was not maintained, Unfortunately, there was an increase
in 1963 in the number of fatalities in all age groups except those over 75,
Fatal accidents due to other causes were regrettably at a record total of 72.
There was an increase of 9 over the past year in fatal accidents due to falls and an
increase of 4 in fatalities due to fire.
