Noise Nuisances
It is inevitable that in an age of mechanisation complaints of noise
nuisance will be received from time to time. These are usually solved by an
investigation by the Public Health Inspector who obtains the co-operation of
the management concerned, the nuisances being reduced to a minimum.
A series of complaints were received during the year concerning noise
from a bakery at night. Two Inspectors were detailed to carry out a night
inspection on two occasions but no statutory nuisance was confirmed. No
unreasonable or excessive noise was heard on either occasion.
