Day Nurseries.
At the beginning of 1953 there were 6 Day Nurseries in operation. The number
of child places was 377. Clephane Road Nursery closed in February, 1953, and the
children were transferred to a 50 place nursery opened in February in Springdale
Road, N.16 (Stoke Newington).
At present there are 5 Day Nurseries open in Islington:-
