Islington Crematorium.
There were 180 cremations during the year at the Council's Crematorium. East
Finchley, all of which were certified by the Medical Referee or Deputy Medical
Referee. The Crematorium was closed for three months for repairs.
Maternity and Child Welfare Services.
The Maternity and Child Welfare Services are, of course, the responsibility of
the London County Council as the Local Health Authority. Islington is included
in Division 3 of the L.C.C. Services and I am indebted to Dr. A. B. Stewart, Divisional
Medical Officer for the information given below in respect of these services:—
