327 interviews were given to mothers at the Town Hall during the year, and
the two Special Health Visitors were available at the Town Hall every Thursday
evening from 5-7 o'clock. This evening session proves of great help to mothers
at work.
This work is carried on in co-operation with moral welfare workers, hospital
almoners, welfare centres, and other social agencies.
In accordance with the Metropolitan Boroughs' Standing Joint Committee,
the Islington Borough Council contributed £212 for 1947 for moral welfare work in
connection with illegitimate children.
