There has been a further decrease in the rate of new cases of
non-respiratory tuberculosis, but this is still substantially above the
pre-war rates.
Rate per 1,000 population: new cases - pulmonary 2.47, non-pulmonary
0.33: deaths - pulmonary £.83, non-pulmonary 0.09.
PUBLIC HEALTH (TUBERCULOSIS) REGULATIONS 1930:
The total number of cases of tuberculosis on the Register as at
31st December 1945 was:—
2.052 (Pulmonary - Males 981, Females 780: Non-Pulmonary - Males 155,
Females 136).
