WELFARE CENTRES:

The four Voluntary Welfare Centres in the Borough each received a grant from the Borough Council, for the year ending March 31st 1944, as under:-

Ante-Natal Clinics:

The number of ante-natal mothers who attended the Ante-Natal Clinics again shews a considerable increase over the previous year.

Centre Attendances:
There has been a slight diminution in the number of children attending the
Welfare Centres, which was undoubtedly due to evacuation and dislocation of home
life following enemy activity.
