At the Northern Dispensary there were, including contacts, 882 new cases, and at the
Southern 594, while the attendances at the former were 4,934 and at the latter 4,621.
The examination of contacts with tuberculous cases showed that 35 were suffering
from tuberculosis, 28 were suspects, and 486 were not suffering. The nurses of the
Northern Dispensary paid 1,215 visits, and those of the Southern 1,992, to the
homes of the patients, while the Tuberculosis Officer of the Northern Dispensary
made 265 visits, and of the Southern 231 visits to the patients' homes for the purpose
of examining them.
