From the tabulated figures and by a process of deduction the approximate number of new buildings required to relieve the overcrowded condition has been ascertained to be 2,504, and are as follows:—

The temporary staff employed in the survey were recruited from the Local
Employment Exchanges and comprised 6 clerical assistants, 16 survey assistants
and 30 enumerators.
The total sum paid in wages to the temporary staff, including National Health
Insurance Stamps, was £1,211 8s. 11d., the London County Council contributing
£596 14s. 11d. of this sum.
