VACCINATION.
Dr. Christie was appointed in place of Dr. Rowntree, resigned, as Public
Vaccinator for the Thornhill District, and commenced his duties on the 17th July,
1933.
Jvlo vaccinations were performed by the Medical Officer of Health under the
Public Health (Smallpox Prevention) Regulations, 1917, as it was possible to refer
each case immediately to the Public Vaccinator of the district or institution.

The return of certificates of exemption, therefore, represents 33 per cent. of the registered births.
