The Almeric Paget Massage Corps, Islington Centre, Britannia Row, N.l.—The
number of attendances were 13,151 ; number of treatments given 34,124, in
respect of 6,224 adults, 3,902 children and 3,025 infants. An interesting part
of the above is the Nasal Hygiene Clinic conducted by Dr. Octavia Lewin.
215 children attended this clinic.
Child Guidance Clinic, Tudor House, Canonbury Place, N.l.—The attendances at
this Clinic, in addition to those referred there by the London County Council
from schools, etc., numbered 297, as follows:—Under 5 years, 34 boys and 19
girls ; over 5 years, 127 boys and 117 girls. The children referred through the
London County Council numbered 173, of whom 107 were boys and 66 were
girls.
Clinics, etc., not including Public Assistance, were enumerated on page 79 of the
Report for 1931.
PUBLIC HEALTH CONGRESS.—14th-19th November, 1932. Royal Agricultural
Hall.
The Medical Officer of Health was sent by the Council as Delegate, and a
separate report by him on the proceedings was circulated to the members of the
Council.
PROPAGANDA WORK by the Public Health Department.
The following booklets and literature were issued during the year, and are
available on application at the Public Health Department Town Hall:—
Hints on the Care and Feeding of Infants, with addresses of Welfare
Centres, Tuberculosis Dispensaries, Registrars, Public Vaccinators, etc.,
Smallpox and Vaccination, Notes on Tuberculosis, Flies and Gnats,
Measles, Whooping Cough, Diphtheria, Scarlet Fever, Infectious
Diseases—Law.
