SEPTIC DISEASES.
Erysipelas and Puerperal Septicæmia are the principal diseases of this class.
Erysipelas.—.17 deaths were returned from this disease, or 1 more than in
the year 19.30, and 7 above the average of the preceding ten years 1921.30.
Puerperal Diseases.— These comprise Puerperal Pyaemia, Septicæmia,
Septic Intoxication and Puerperal Fever, and they caused 7 deaths, being the same
as in 1930, and were 3 below the average of the ten years 1921.30. The death.rate
was equal to 1.3 per 1,000 births.

TUBERCULOSIS.
Tuberculosis caused 332 deaths, which were 47 below the average of the
last decennium, and were 17 above the number registered in 1930. The death.
rate resulting from them was equal to 1.02 per 1,000 of the civil population, and
represented 8.1 per cent, of the deaths from all causes during the year.
