FATALITY FROM THE PRINCIPAL NOTIFIABLE
INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
By " Fatality " is meant the percentage proportion of deaths to attacks of
sickness.
During the year it was found that of the 3,057 cases notified, 80 deaths occurred, or 2.6 per cent., which contrasts with an average percentage of 3.2 in the preceding ten years 1920.29.

Hospital Isolation..Of the 3,057 cases of infectious disease notified,
2,879 were isolated in hospital, equal to a percentage of 94.2, while only 5.8 per
cent. of the patients were nursed at home.
