A.—Proceedings under Sections 17, 18 and 23 of the Housing Act, 1930:—
(1) Number of dwelling-houses in respect of which notices were served requiring repairs9

* In addition, undertakings as to future user of underground rooms were accepted in four cases.

Common Lodging-Houses.

The Public Health Committee considered and granted applications for the renewal of licences for the renewal of licences fot the twelve months ending 30th June, 1936, in respect of the following common lodging houses:-

During the year the common lodging-house at Nos. 1-7, Macklin Street was
closed, on the sale of the property by the owners. The number of beds available
for males at common lodging-houses was thereby reduced to the extent of 79.
