The following table gives the number of new cases of tuberculosis and deaths from the disease in the Borough during 1929 in the form required by the Ministry of Health:—

The initiation of the Tuberculosis Care Committee as a local institution and
the administrative change whereby all correspondence concerning tuberculous
patients is sent to the Borough Medical Officer of Health continue to prove
beneficial; knowledge of the patients thus made available for the local public
health staff is increased in a natural and easy way and the interest in the work
encouraged.
