Free washing facilities - Public Conveniences. In connection
with the clean food drive, the Council has provided free
washing facilities at its four public conveniences. Liquid
soap and paper hand towels are available. The public and the
street traders would appear to appreciate this facilityjudging
by the number of towels which have been issued.
HOUSING ACT. 1949
Loans granted (s.4) Improvement Grants (S.20) Despite the
slight hiatus caused by the increase in the Bank Rate, extensive
work has been carried out in connection with surveys of property
for prospective purchasers wishing to obtain a mortgage from
the Council.
