Nos. 24, 26 and 28, Flask Walk were also declared a
Clearance Area and a Compulsory Purchase Order was made. The
owner of the three premises subsequently lodged an objection
which is to be the subject of an Inquiry by the Minister.

CERTIFICATES OF DISREPAIR
The following table shows the paucity, both of the
tenant's applications for Certificates of Disrepair, and the
landlords' for the revocation thereof.
Of the total number of 174 Certificates issued from
the commencement of the Act until 31st December, 1956 landlords
applied for the revocation of 71•
Landlords are obviously not troubling to apply for
revocation of the outstanding Certificates because the increased
rents will not apparently recompense them for the expensive
repairs involved.
